Recent oil paintings

I'm having a show with a ceramics artist, Rob Bilek, who use to work at BHG as an art intern. I really wanted to use the opportunity to push myself to do some new paintings, so over break I started five canvases. The gallery specifically asked for Antarctic work, so that's what I went with, and it was nice to return to that theme. There are five new ones below and the last one is an old one I updated. These range from 24 inches across to 40, so they're a little big for what I usually do, then there were a handful of smaller, older paintings I included in the show.

And the show card (my non-Graphic design design):

These are awesome. My favorite is the fourth one down.

These are great! I love the rich variety of colours you used in the snow!

Wow, these are really cool(no pun intended). My vote goes to the fifth one down. It's such an interesting mass and composition and I can tell that it's a huge piece of ice but at the same time it's really simple and abstract. So should we come to the show on the 31st at 3pm?

Thanks!
If you can make it down, that would be a lot of fun, but it's a bit of a drive. About an hour from Big Huge, so it's a haul.

Fantastic work, Mr. Campbell. Very evocative pieces. I am always impressed with paintings of barren types of landscapes that bring enormous variety of color and shape.

Oh my! These are gorgeous. It's great to see your traditional work. I really, really like the lighting on the first piece. Your compositions are also fantastic.
