Tried some brush and walnut ink out at the last life drawing session. It was fun - I enjoyed the fluidity of it, and that I had to be loose but also address mistakes. The last one I just doodled on some. That thing wasn't in the room with us.
Meant to post these before... I think life drawing uses a different part of your brain than drawing for games :) Good to stretch that part out once in a while.
Here's what I got from the first life drawing class down at MICA. That one at the bottom there went through some weird stuff, but I decided early on I was going to just let it happen and play with it. So don't blame the model.
A number of Big Huge artists are participating in a series of life drawing sessions at MICA. It's been many years since I last sketched the figure, however 10 minutes into it the familiar feeling of having pencil and sketchbook in hand came rushing back. Good times...
The Big Huge Games art team is looking for an experienced, exceptionally knowledgeable, talented, and motivated Concept Artist to joing our team and contribute to our upcoming original RPG title (Xbox360, Playstation3 & PC), headed by internationally celebrated Game Designer Ken Rolston of Oblivion fame.
