THESIS!

Hey Everyone,

Dave had asked me to post some of the work I have been doing in thesis. So here is some of the work I did last semester. Ignore the bad video, my video editing skills aren't really that great, but it shows some of the character rigging I completed with the characters.

Dominance War thumbnail sketches....

So, several of us Big Hugers are entering the new DOMINANCE WAR III competition, so I figured I would post my progress so far.

I have chosen to do some sort of fish-wizardy-guy. These are really just early ideas, I haven't even really settled on exactly how this character will fit into the guidelines of the competition, so harsh criticism and radical thoughts are most welcome:

Life Drawing Sketches

One of these things is not like the others

One from life drawing last night, and the rest from the Georgia Aquarium (really worth the trip if you're ever in the South). Guess which is which!

Pencils

Finally posting something up here. Some drawings I did from the last CA.org workshop in January.

a shot at graphic design

I have been playing around with creating graphic design type images lately to help improve my sense of design and color usage. Here's one I have worked on lately. The three main objects are actually max models rendered with the toon shader. Any thoughts about what sort of things I could do to improve the image? Thanks!

WIP Alice in Wonderland Rabbit

Have been working on this Rabbit for the Kenji's Alice in Wonderland cards. Just trying to get some finished pieces done to get better with both design and drawing and rendering. It's still inprogress at the moment. The idea here is that the Rabbit is being tortured by the queen, who has strapped on this contraption that constatnly rings loudly into his ears to keep him on task. I'm still experimenting and thinking about good processes to follow when trying to create a finished piece, so any thoughts anyone has that they think would help would be more than welcome!

Thanks!
